Hey, the article on the humidifier that is easy to clean is up to date, which definitely helps a novice like me. An easy to clean humidifier was really new to me and possibly for some other people as well.

In reply to Nisa. Hey, Nisa! To answer your questions: I've always used tap water and have never had a problem with the fan (or anything else, for that matter). The only issue I had was 100% user error (I didn't set it up properly the first time). We've been really happy with ours!

Thanks for the recommendation! Do you use distilled or tap water? Also I've seen some reviews about needing to replace the fan every year. Have you run into that with parts needing to be replaced frequently?
